Can someone provide me the part number for the driver side rear wheel well molding for '87 GN? I called the dealer but he gave me a part number for the hood insulator (20482089). Where is the best place to buy the molding? Thanks a lot.

20482089 is the correct number for the left rear wheel well molding in black. GM still has the left side in stock(75 of them in stock at Lansing,MI as of Friday). The right rear and both fronts are discontinued. Eric Fisher

Steve---I checked gmpartsdirect and they are still available, I think. The passenger side rear is discontinued though. I entered pn 20498650 (that I found on a search) and pn 20482089 (hood insulator) also comes up. When I placed the order it says I ordered a molding, but does not provide a picture.

OK, I tried entering 20482089 again in gmpartsdirect.com and it did come up as a molding. Thanks again for all the info.

For god's sake someone go to GM Parts Direct, put in 25525977 (86-87 Hood insulator) and then go to checkout. $67 for the part and $100 S&H. That's why I rarely buy from them. You have to check all the way to the end. Some stuff is ok, but most of the time the local dealer is about the same price.
