Still working on my 84 t-type, and the maf sensor is damaged(the plastic body is broken exposing the the computer chip) my question is should i get a new tomco unit offered by poston or would i be better off buying a translator and using an LT1/LS1 unit, i am also going to be swapping the ecm for an 86/87 so suggestions on what would be best would be appreciated

Only MAF's sold now are reman. units. So it's potluck if you get a good one. The Translator with a 3" Impala MAF is the way to go.

You could always epoxy the broken piece back on and try it.If that doesn't work,I would do the 3" Impala maf and translator[I have and it's great].Call Jack Cotton for the parts[1-800-639-0531],he'll help you out.Later.
