What kind of mufflers?

My current exhaust system is loud while crusing at 2000 rpm or so but the instant I stomp it to the floor, the only thing I can hear is the turbo. I want to know what kind of mufflers will sound just like the ones currently on the car? I don't want it to be quiet while crusing and loud when I get on it. My current system looks home made by a previous owner so I have no idea what kind of mufflers I have (they look like black shoe boxes).
