Wet Engine

OK, I degreased my 87 Turbo T engine and now the "Service Engine" light is on. I have lousy warm-up, but runs smooth eventually. Gas milage is bad and plugs are fouling. Power just isn't what it was. What the heck is going on?

Before I get my friends scanner to check the code, has anyone experienced this? MAF? O2? TPS?
Hoping someone says "Aha! I had the same problem".

Welcome. The TPS doesnt like water & should be covered when cleaning along with IAC & even the relays.

This is another one of those instances when a scan tool would help a lot. If you had a ScanMaster, you could see the TPS and the IAC readings, as well as the O2s. Maybe the O2 sensor needs replacing, it's hard to tell without more info. Let us know what you find when you use the friend's scanner.
