I am looking into buying a 1986 grand nation, I looked up the VIN in carfax and buick regal t-type I didnt think the VIN was diffrent for t-type to GN. The vin for the 86 GN/T-type is 1G4GK4771GP219954. Can anyone verify or give me there VIN to a 86 GN and see if they are similar.

There is not way to tell if you have a GN or turbo-t by the vin. Go here to view the vin decoding http://www.gnttype.org/general/vin.html
The way to tell if you have either, you need the codes from inside the trunk. Go here for that http://www.gnttype.org/numbers/rpo.html
