i emailed esp performance on what valve springs they have. the guy said it was a 100/275 spring. 100 closed and 275 opened on something like that. Can someone explain what that means? I dont know a lot about valve springs.

Closed is as they sit in the head no pushrod action. The stock spec. is 82 max. I believe. 78 nom.

Open is with cam and pushrod actuation. Stock spec. is 195 max. 185 nom.

I suggest Comp. Cams 980's no cups. I measured them at 85 all within 2 pounds.

Stockers in my 112K car were around 65.

New valve seals from GM and cork gaskets and life will be good, and safe.

Just my .02, and I'm an expert now I did 2 sets....

do the valve seals go on both intake and exhaust valves or just the intake valve?
