will improper valve spring height cause valve train noise?? (budget roller cam)
like bad lifters type of sound?
will this cause any damage??

It should not, unless they're in coil bind and are stacking up, or the retainer is hitting the guide boss. Both of these are easy to check for (remove valve cover, rotate motor, look at 'em).

If you've got noise, I'd bet it's related to preload issues (pushrod length).

Well i'm thinking not enough spring height, i checked for coil bind and guide clearance no probs there..as for preload the rockers are hitting pretty much on the center of the valve..
