here comes stupid question?.when car is sitting idle if i rev it up you get no turbo boost or whistle?have 01 turbo cummins whistles when ever you get on it. dunno

Because there is not enuf heat/exhaust velocity being generated to spool the turbo in the time you have before you have to let off in order not to blow the engine.

When the engine is under load, it creates more exhaust velocity. MUCH more! Also, if you let the car warm up a while to operating temp, and you have the cat removed, you should hear it whistle a little. Mine does once its warm. It still wont be as loud of a whistle or a hiss that it makes when you're on the road getting on it.

thanks guys, kinda thought that but wasnt sure.not use to these cars YET havent played around with cars for a while.im used to sleds atvs stock cars. powersix
