I was wondering if anybody has an idea how much a new short block is for an 87 T-Type? And how much should I pay for a car like this with a blown engine? Cracked block. Oherwise a real sound car.

No such thing as a new shortblock. Figure 2500+ for a rebuild depending on how crazy you wanna get sky is the limit.

No more new parts so all the used stuff is very expensive.

No such thing as a "turbo" block. A 3.8 is a 3.8 (unless it's a 4.1 wink ). Find a good block with a 2-barrel carb and get it (cheap). The later the casting, the better. Most people seem to think the 1986/87 casting ending in '109 is magical. All it will need is a oil return line hole drilled and tapped.
