Trans problems - burn out in water at the strip at WOT. Very quick revs with 1-2 shift. Left the line, the 1-2 seemed O.K. then it would not shift into 3rd and hit the rev limiter several times. I back off and back on and it shifted into 3rd and then into 4th.

Next run, no burn out and the same thing happened but it hit the limiter and I quickly backed off and got back into it for 104 MPH.

Now it will not shift out of first at noraml revs at light loads.

Ideas???

Two concurrent problems - the ECM was also not functioning properly and quit later that same day. This might have been the problem with the missing event at the high revs in 2nd although it pulled hard in 3rd and 4th.

Govenor spring?
