I am presently running Nittos 275/50/15 26.1" tall. The car hits the quarter mile at 110-111mph...if I decide to go with a 28" tall tire (275/60/15) would I see an improvement or should I stay with the 26" tire.

Thanks in Advance
Bob

If you are running out of rpm's on the top end then go to a taller tire. Also the power curve of your cam is a factor.

That's where you should be. A taller tire may give you an extra 2-3 mph but you may loose 1-2 tenths in et. Try and borrow a set of taller tires and try
Thats the only real way to find out

Forgot one point. Are you locking up your converter? If not try to lock up in 2nd gear.

I thought the specs on the Nittos show that tire to be more like 25.6? Mine are shorter than my other tires.

275/50R15 is actually 25.83inches.
The formula to figure this out is
width*heigth%/25.4*2+wheel size.
example
275*50%/25.4*2+15=25.83inches

Your numbers are correct. But I seen as much 3/4" differece in height in different
brands. My BF drag radials are 275/50/15 and are 26.1" tall, BF T/A's are 25.9, Dunlap's are 25.7
