I'm going to be removing my turbo this weekend to have it rebuilt. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time for removing one, so take it easy on me guys lol. The car is an 87 GN. Thanks guys. Brad :dunno:

Go spray some WD-40 on the downpipe and exhaust bolts right now and do a little every day up until you remove it this weekend.

That's right soak the heck out of all the bolts with WD40. I soaked mine and all the bolts holding the downpipe to the turbo snappd right off! :( I would keep spraying the bolts a few days before and you should be good!

If it is the stock turbo it shouldn't be to bad, with bigger turbos you might have to take that bracket off the passenger head that holds the turbo to get it out. Use never seize when you put the bolts back on.
