got a loud ticking noise on drivers side sounds like a lifter or rocker but did the ol screwdriver to the ear and doesnt seem to get any louder any ideas

May be an exhaust leak - I would check the exhaust header - has it been welded? They ALWAYS crack between 3 & 5..

Mine has a tick as well. But mine is a lifter.
A tick could also come from a broken Rocker shaft if I remember correctly.
