To effectively use any ecm means doing alot of reading, and facing a steep learning curve. The usual compliation is not taking notes, and being patient enough to see what the engine is telling you about your changes. It's extremely easy to get lost on your tune, without note taking and trying to understand what the engine is telling you. With an aftermarket ecm, there are few limits so you can go way overboard, and never know you missed the tune. Unless your running very quickly, there's alot to be said about something like a Translator Plus, or MAPTPRO. They allow you alot of leeway, and a decent baseline to start with.

Be sure to research all the systems available, and which one has who supporting it with tech info..

With a lm-1 wideband and rpm converter its fairly simple, without it you would be lost and almost hopeless to program them properly.
