Is there a difference between a regular test lite and a 'noid lite'? We're having some no-start issues with a new engine we installed and I want to confirm that we have injector pulse. Is there any reason that a standard test lite can't be used for this?

injector voltage/duration may not be enuf to trigger a visible flash in a test lite. I have never tried it.

can't hurt to give it a try before you buy a light

I got my DVM to show pusles once during troubleshooting.

I can't remember if I had to set it at a very low scale or not but it seems like it showed pulsed with no problem.

i thought it had to do with the circutry in the two. when you read the books it tells you never use a test light in a computer controlled circuit unless specified. im not 100% sure but i beleive that a test light can hurt a computers circutry in certain cases.
