We are currently getting baked with 100+ temps and I was watching the under hood temp climb to 130-140 on my Scanmaster.

Does the placement of the temp sensor make a difference? Ex. - should it be in the up pipe after the intercooler to better reflect the actual temp of the intake air?

Does the computer actually use this info?

Just want to know.

It is not going to affect the fueling at any temps you are going to encounter with conventional chips.

On the ME-R, it is used to adjust fueling and is then installed in the plenum or uppipe.
