Everytime I put the key into the ignition and turn it (not to turn on the car) but to make it so i hear the radio my boost gauge shows like 6 orange bars in the boost gauge, shouldnt it be 0. I have no clue why it does that. what needs to be fixed

They are useless and pretty much can't be fixed or made accurate.

Get an aftermarket gauge such as Autometer or VDO. Vacuum and boost on the same gauge works well for me. 25-30 psi. range for boost.

Hmmm, I wonder what his % accuracy is?

Sounds like a good service for people who actually want them fixed.

There is a gentleman in our club (Central Florida Club) that is repairing and recalibrating them. Maybe he is on the board and can chime in here. It can be done. I am sure if I was cursed with an analog dash car I would get those damn lights fixed....

I wouldn't.

The resolution sucks, just a bad design.

Aftermarket is way better.

I read somewhere, a MAP sensor was used as the trigger for a home made alky system. He said that the sensor was adjustable so he set it to trigger at ~14 psi. This is not the same sensor that feeds the factory boost gauge is it?
