Has anyone used there stock D5 torque converter and had it redone to stall 2800 ???? If so have you had problems with premature wear within the converter?? Im building a mild set up precision 69mm turbo 60lbs injectors with turbo tweak chip, intake, a stock location intercooler and some rjc bolt on equipment, and a3:73 gear. I know the stock converter is good for 2200 rpm. Car will be mostly driven on the street with maybe 1 a year visit to the track. I know if i go to a non lock up converter ill have to modify the trans for this. Thoughts please.....

Thanks

I think a lot of guys have had there converter re-stalled. I believe that is what they used to call the "orange stripe" converter.
I was considering on one of those myself, but landed a 2800 PTC 10" LU
I think the LU clutch in the 12" is a little stronger, but wanted the weight savings of the 10" to help with spooling

Oh, and not sure if ya need the 3:73's back there if if just a "mild" build
