What is the correct torque to secure the tie rod to spindle,to the pitman arm etc? Thanks. Gene

Steering arm to tie rod end nut 30 lbs-ft and turn to next hole for cotter pin

Tie rod clamp nuts 14 lb-ft

tie rod to relay rod nut 40

pitman arm to relay rod nut 45

pitman arm to steering gear nut 185

idler arm to relay rod nut 40

idler arm to frame nut 60

above is from shop manual. Relay rod is what I always called the cross link...

Steve, I was going to post the settings but like always you beat me to the punch! One more: tie rod to spindle - 30 ft.lbs! My book also says to torque to settings, turn additional 1/6 turn, never back off the castle nut to install the cotter key, only tighten it. Thanks again! Gene
