I'm getting ready to put in a low-mile used speedo cable to replace the wobbly one I have now. It wavers so much it gives my cruise control fits, and it;s time to replace it.

What type (if any) of lubrication should I use on the replacement cable to make it last longer?

Astroglide maybe? usa

TIA,
Mark S.

White lithium grease is best. But any cable lube will due. In Florida you dont have to worry about it freezing.

How do you get it down in there? I took the connection apart right under the wiper motor and squirted WD40 in there. Mine was making hoise. It's better but doesn't look like much can get past the tip inside.

Just don't use ANAL-EZE, the benzocaine might make the VSS numb. Your cruise will never work then.
