Possibly when one of the electrodes breaks off and it stops firing.

They don't hold up well to any detonation.

Don't ask me how I know this. :rolleyes:

My problems were with Bosch ones. :mad:

Stay away from those stupid platinum plugs.
They have no place in a T/R.
That includes the G/M rapid fire,fine wire platinums.

I use the AC Delco's - CR43TS -- with the heavier electrode and they seem to work well.....

Not sure of the kind of boost you're running, but you could always go to the 42's if you're running serious levels...

There are also some NGKs that are similar to the ACs and Autolites. The Buick has three plugs that fire "backwards", and the platinum plugs don't work well in that case. Ford used three "normal" plugs along with three platinum plugs for some of the SHO Taurus engines that had waste spark ignition similar to the Buick design.
