I have these POS coilover shocks on the back of my car & orig rear springs" Its time to get rid of the things cause the ride really sucgs and it handes like crap. "Stiff!

Bilsteins" Are they really worth all that?Thats a lot of $$ for shocks! I want a nice comfortable smooth ride. My car now rides like a old car. I would like for it to ride as it did new + some.
Ill also be adding some moog varible rate springs" If they wont give me a stiff ride?

Any ideas welcome!

I use the Moogs and the Bilsteins. More for handling with good tires and load carrying in the trunk.

Don't think the ride is like a stocker however....

Might want to consider stock replacement type ratings on the Moog springs and simple gas shocks for the boulevard ride....

Just my .02, I do like the setup for Regals however.

Moog springs, Bilstein shocks.
Best investment I made on my GN.

Fast86,

I just put the Moog cc651 variable rate springs on my T. The variable rate springs are wound differently on one end. While driving around town you are riding on the softer top part of the spring and it feels like stock. Once you start driving aggressively or have a load in the trunk, the soft part compresses and you begin riding on the stiffer part of the coil.

I put Bilsteins on my GN in 1989. Left front started leaking oil last year. Sent all four back to Bilstein and they sent me four new ones. No charge. Worth the extra money to me. They do give the car a stiff ride.

I like the variable rate springs. They brought the car up to a nice mean stance. Rides great.

Fast86, I'll let you take it for a drive to see what you think. I thought you were selling your car.

Buick T, is your car for sale?
