Just Started the 87 GN today for the first time this year. Car has very low miles (under 3000). After it was running for a few minutes I started to smell a burning smell and saw some smoke coming from the back of the engine compartment on both sides of the engine. Car has a few small oil leaks (ie rear main)... just want to be sure it is nothing serious. Could it possibly be oil leaking that has built up on the cross-over pipe while it was in storage for the winter?? Thanks in advance for your help.....Mike

Or leaking down from the valve covers and landing on the headers and sitting on the crossover pipe.

Valve covers would be my guess as well. The smoke should disappear after a few minutes if its seeping from the valve covers.
