well, it would give a little more effective duration at the valve but I don't think the potential benefits would be anywhere close to to the cost and aggravation. These engines are not particularly sensitive to cam changes. Guys have run into the tens on stock cams.
JMO, but if I had it to do over, I would have sent the cast heads to be worked on. Along with the standard fuel and air upgrades, this is all that is needed by most of us. A ta-49, shift kit, and a 3,000 stall convertor and it's easy 12's. Low 12's with either propane or alchy injection.
