Went to E-Town yesterday just to Spectate and it wasn't too crowded when I got there, so I said what the hell, lets see what I run Capped up, 93 Pump gas, Radials, and 14-15 Lbs boost. Boy was I shocked when I picked up my slip [email protected]!! WTF! Thats pretty bad. What does everyone else run at these STOCK (14/15Lb.) boost levels with a basic recipe car??
I'm a TE/60, THDP, Stock IC, 26 degree Lubrant Chip.

my best time on pump gas on a all stock car is around a 13.9 with the stock chip, spinning one wheel. My best time was with excess boost and 110 octane. no more of that

I think the General Concencus is ABOUT 103-104 mph with only 15 Lbs., I'm about 1 mph off, probably because the car dosent like such high timing with only 93 Octane, as I noticed that I was on the edge as I got .5 to 1 degree of retard at the shifts. 85Hot air 107 mph is tremendoue at ONLY 15lbs., IN FACT that means that going pound for pound at 23 to 24 Lbs. your running ABOUT 116MPH which puts you DEEP in the 11's! Is that correct???

It really surprised me. I am hoping to get it out tomorrow with some 112 and my Red's 108. I was just screwing around with my combo. The first time out, I had 103 with .711 O2's and 19° of knock. I changed the fuel pump, filter, and regulator (just to make sure I fixed the problem), and now I get 0 knock and .746 O2's at the lowest for a split second. I also have a Kenne Bell ram air, which is said to lose 1mph at the end (it is off now). I also don't lock up the TC. I either have a weirdo, or my car has some non stock engine internals. I am actually shooting for 110 on pump gas and 15lbs, but I probably won't try it.

Havent run my car like that (pump gas and radials) since 1999. But... when I did the car had stock motor, turbo, intercooler, injectors, and downpipe...

Sunoco 94, Reds 93 chip, BUT I wasn;t running 15 PSI boost.... ran 18-19 PSI boost with a LOOONG cooldown and ice on the intake... Car ran a 13.43 @ 103 MPH w/a 2.4xx 60'.. We did throw slicks on that day and the car immediately dipped into the high 12s with a 12.73 @ 103 MPH w/a 1.71 60' never touched the boost or fuel or anything... just threw on the slicks.

I was really impressed with the pump gas street chip times the car ran on slicks considerin how stock it was back then.. The street tire times sucked though... BALD ASS BF 245 60 15s...

Going to try the pump gas street chip, street trim at the track again this year for fun... I'm thinking low 13s on radials but mid 12s this time on slicks.

OldgrayII-home - Keep in mind that that big TE 60 @ 15 PSI boost isnt going to be much if any of an advantage over a stock turbo UNTIL you get in the 21+ PSI boost levels... I dont think your times are all that bad myself.. Thats right on the verge of running into the 12s at only 15 PSI! Pretty good if ya ask me!

12.35 @ 108.something pump gas.

Stock Turbo, Stock Heads, Stock Cam.. ect...
I have a V4, 62mm TB, TH DP and MSD50's. This is using Nitto's, and the T-brake. I also get really good cool downs and constantly spray the I/C and turbo down with water between runs.

Someone once told me the only difference between fully tuned pump vs. race gas times will be about .3 and 3MPH. He was right, b/c when I cranked it up I only went [email protected] . That was with 25psi/30* timing vs. 19psi/18* timing. I'd rather save the motor and run 18* without fear of blowing something up.
