Clockwise. Move the crank a 1/4 turn every time the pressure comes to 50+ lbs so you get it from all angles. Just hook a guage in where the line to turbo goes or do it like I did mine with an extra fitting for a dash guage in the car.
Look at Vortex Buicks under oil pump etc.

Your don't need a gauge when priming with a drill... you will know when the oil pressure comes up, it will stall a weak drill and bog down a good one. Will give you some respect on how much power is used up by driving everything in and on the engine before it gets to the ground.
