A friend asked me to post this for his car. I won't even say what kind it is (K-car) The question: what other fluids might be substituted in place of the regular power steering fluid to "band-aid" a "leak" (leak = gradual drip)
So you can tell your friend.........I don't know of any rigs to pour in to fit a powersteering leak. If if leak from a metal line you can JB Weld it and get pretty good results, but I would replace the line or whatever is leaking. It's a K car so how much could it be a NAPA or Auto-Zone
I've used Bar's Leaks on my mom's inherited beater, when I owned it. It's been about 100K mi and it hasn't leaked a drop since.
Minimum expense repairs only for the $500 S10, "old glory" just rolled 350K mi too. Valve seals leak like a siv and it probably only makes about 7:1 compression but it runs like a top.
