I have one of the 2 piece 3" DP's I'll be installing soon and wanted to inquire exactly how to port the stock DP elbow from turbo. What needs to be taken off and where? Also, what would be the preferred method of joining the elbow with 3" DP? Any special clamps, gaskets, or flanges I'll need to do this correctly? I have a friend with a high speed rotary tool with carbide attachments who has ported some 445 heads that will assist. Thanks!

Someone has one for sale on GN trader ported with the larger puck.
The larger puck allows for the wastegate hole to be enlarged.
1) do not enlarge hole greater than puck.
2) UNGN said to radius the hole (whatever that means)
3) don't drop anything into the turbo exhaust header like I did.
4) soak-soak-soak (PB blaster DP) and elbow bolts 2 -3 days prior to removing if they have never been removed.

Don't know the question to the 3 in. fitting

Hey thanks ES! Didn't think to research the old standby over at GNTTYPE! Thanks for the heads up on the need to soak the bolts 2-3 days prior in PB Blaster as mine haven't been off ever. Anyone on the other part of my question with 3" DP attachment issues or to add to anything on porting procedure?
