Just to let you all know, there is a new part # for the brake pressure switch.

#18038508 replaces the old # of 18018141.

I just got one today :D

Dealer list on the part is $225. But I lucked out, since my father works at a GM dealership and got it for $132.50 with tax. Got to love the employee discount :D

I love those discounts as well!! (I work in GM parts)
Have you replaced the switch and valve under warranty? If I read the GM bulletin
correct, regardless of mileage, ownership,or age of vehicle it should be replaced no charge.

is there some place i can get this in writing or something? cause i brought my car to the local buick dealer and they said they knew nothing about this and my powermaster is acting up alot lately
The PowerMaster recall info is posted in full at:

www.gnttype.org

Your dealer is most assuredly wrong, and they should have investigated your question more fully. If your unit fails, and someone is harmed, seems they would now be liable and responsible.

The recall info is also found on the NHTSA website.

We can find the info and a Buick dealer can't?

PURE BALOGNA!!!

More & more "pass-the-buck and skip-the-service" everywhere!!
