passing inspection with dump????

Finally decided to put on a stock downpipe with dump welded on that I purchased from Mike McCoy, I had the fenderwell dump but wasn't happy with the sound, and I'm not gonna spend $300 for a THDP, cause I don't feel I need it. Anyhow, I've got the cat and stock d/p off, I'm gonna order a new cat and then reassemble. Do you think I will have any problems passing inspection with this downpipe? I don't mean emissions wise, I mean will they say something if they see it, it would be closed? Any jersey stlye THDP users had problems passing??

Any type of temporary opening before the cat is illegal. But most inspectors will overlook it. If your state does the inspection and not private service stations then you may have a problem.
