Under acceleration I noticed that my stock SW oil pressure gauge (gnX) shows the pressure drop off to almost nothing until car shifts and the RPM's drop down. Then it goes back to normal 35-50 at cruise. The needle is also eratic as I first begin to accelerate. What could cause this? Perhaps the sending unit going bad or would the electrical system have something to do with it?

Put a mechanical gauge on it and find out. Certainly electrical problems, either in the sender/gauge, or the external feed will cause screwy reading. :)

It was the connector on the sender. It was loose and needed to be squeezed down a bit to make it snug. Simple fix for a simple guy.
