I myself thought about converting over to non AC setup.
I got the whole assembly from a friend of mine down the road for $50. He pulled everything.
Cables, box, interior controls, ductwork, everything.
Some questions....

How will this effect things like the coolant fan?
Are there any problems that I may run into? Sensors? Wiring?
Anybody out there ever done the conversion?
I do know that I will need to get an Idler Pulley to replace the missing AC Comp.
Any part numbers?
Any and all comments are appreiciated.
TIA -Matt-

BTW. The big blowup about selling non AC parts that happened earlier, is what got me to thinking about doing this to my TR. I was gonna use it for my Monte. But... It died.

I would ask the question in the Stage motor areas. Those are the guys that normally hack up the cars.

No I don't think you should do it.

It shouldn't affect the fan at all.

Tape up the connectors to the compressor and low and high pressure switches.

Mostly a mechanical changeover so electrically shouldn't be too much of a problem unless you have an '86 with electronic A/C.

You defroster won't work as well.

Just my .02.
