Do you guys balance these things for mostly daily driver use.

My guess is yes but the dealer I priced them at says most people don't.

Just wondering...

I guess the counter guy figured they were only for the track.

I'll balance them.

It's hard enough finding the darn tires let alone a dealer. He had to call GA and CA to find them.

$340 out the door ain't cheap.

But at least they will be balanced.

Nitto's ain't too popular, really.

$141 mail order plus prolly $8 a tire to ship them. Not sure about fed. taxes and all...

Then prolly $15 a tire to mount and spin balance them maybe more.

Hmmm, that's $282 + $16 + $30 + ?

All that math and driving the tires around and all....

Most people who do work like that for nothing give you what you pay for...

Think about it.

New England is full of Yankees nobody works for nothing.

I have the local guy bubble balance the Blizzak snow tires and they tend to last okay. So that is an option of course not free prolly $10 a tire including mounting on my new rims.

Soooooo I guess I'll get a quote mail order to see if it would be possible to save a few bucks.

Hey Steve move to New England even your pet rocks would be worth more.

Salvage, www.DiscountTires.com did it for me!Saved state sales tax etc. Local gas station buys many size tires from them. He mounted mine and spin balanced them. They hold air pressure great and really hook! A little water they bite great, like a great "White" Gene

Gene are they only in CA?

What price for just the tires shipped?

Best I could find was $144 plus $9 a tire shipping.

Still would need them balanced and mounted so it would still be easier for me to deliver the wheels locally and get them back all done for $342.50 yes including tax.

Spin balanced and metal valve stem too.

I guess I can live with that price.

Plus shipping too. I already priced them comes to about $310 delivered then I need stems, mounting, and balancing.

Lots easier to have them bring in the tires and put them on the rims and spin balance the things.

I don't think the sales tax'll kill me.

Thanks for the links and advice.

Wish I had friends...
