Is the TBs.com starter an LT-1, or an LT-4?

*****(Hoping it is an LT-4)*****

Does it come with the correctly sized bolts and shims?

If not, GM still has them? Part #s?

THANKS!

It's an LT1 style starter. It comes with special bolts to facilitate the install on the Buick. No shims needed in 99% of the installs. powersix

But it is also not a GM product correct? Isn't it a foreign made starter from what I have heard?
I have also heard it is a pretty good one though.

The TurboBuicks.com starter is a brand new starter (not remanned) made in China. Now, before anyone gets their panties in a wad, order up a LT1 starter from GM ($225 w/core) and take a look at what it says right under the GM part number. Hint.. "Made in China" ! usa

I have the turbobuicks.com starters on both my GN and my Monte SS. Both work great!

There are two type starters that will work. The model with the nose support is the better one though! You should never shim these starters as they don't need it. Gene
