The windshield wipers on my T are painfully slow. After 14 years I guess this is an age factor. Any ideas as to the reason for this slowness and what parts need to be replaced to bring it back to like-new speed. By the way, is there a benchmark in terms of seconds for someone to determine whether or not they are slowing down from factory standards. I have the intermittent option on my car, if that's a factor.

Depending on how much you drive the car and how bad of a meteorologist you are you could do like me and take them off and keep the windows Rain-X'd just in case.

If that doesn't work, the best repair without buying anything would be to clean and lube all the mechanicals. Pull the motors apart, clean the brushes and check the bearings/bushings. It makes a big difference with power windows, check the winring and the circuit breaker for corrosion too, contact resistance can cause a huge drop in current to the motor.

I still vote for throwing it out!
