Im having a lack of power issue with an 87 Grand National,
Ses light on,Getting code 32 Egr,Replaced Ecm,Prom,Plugs,Wires,& Egr Control,New Cat ... Lacking Power Also
Got to be something simple,
Any help would be much appreciated,

Power is good on highway,Very laggy off the start thoug,Super Laggy....

Have you looked at the EGR valve itself, maybe stuck open.

that will be a different problem, I suspect. Normally, as you can see from the chart, the 32 will either be a bad solenoid, vacuum problem, or wiring problem.

exhaust leaks, fueling problem, etc. will affect the spool.

I will keep digging,New Manifolds,No Exhaust leaks present....

what are your blms when you are power braking? O2s, etc?

Have you checked the fuse yet? I think it's labeled "EGR" but it's been a long time since I had a code32 problem.


My solution was to remove and cut off a screw that holds the steering column to the floor. It's pointed, very sharp and touched the wiring harness where it forks next to the powermaster.

Causing the fuse to blow ?
I will look there also,Who would have thought.....

Need to post your location and see if someone local can run a scantool and see what shows up.
They also make have extra parts you can try before buying stuff you do not need.
