Intercooling Alternative

I've got a couple of complete NOS systems stored away from when I used to have the SBC. My thought is this. What would be the pros/cons of hooking a dry system up and plumb a single fogger in the inlet side of the intercooler with something small like a 20 shot. This would of course be only to cool the air and not be used as a power adder. I think if I keep the jet small enough tuning could be kept to a minimum. Any thoughts?

It works well, keep it small and turn up the base FP a few psi I'd guess. :)
