Well, if you have access to parts, and don't mind it, you could insure it as a N/A 1987 Regal 3.8 V6. Also, you could insure for liability and not full coverage. I'm quite young and pay about $100 or so.

On my insurance policy It just says 86 Regal T-Type. I'm 22 and I pay under $1000 a year for full coverage.
I have AIG insurance.

how the hell do you do that? i'm paying like 4300 a year clean license and everything..

I pay $440 a year, awful liscense and driving record. Full coverage.

I pay $1200 a year on the trans am.

Living in the NY/NJ area must be tuff on insurance rates.
Its a lot easier up in the Western NY area.
