I did a pressure test today on my 87 GN looking for any sources of vacuum leakage and turned up a strange result.

The inlet bell on my (stock) turbo is not sealing against the body of the turbo. I think either the gasket is shot, or the compressor housing is warped.

I have some questions about this gasket/o-ring (black), take a look at the attached picture:



Has anyone successfully made this o-ring? Buna?
Does this come in the turbo mounting gasket set?
I assume copper RTV won't work here, due to the temperature, but since it is on the cold side, I am tempted to try it.

I looked on this site and others for info about this o-ring, but turned up no answers.

Any thoughts would be appreciated,
