Does anyone know where I can get an after market ign. Mod. for an 85 T-Type Buick Riv. the dealers want $800 and Murray's $950! My mech. has tried changing the crank sensor and fried it, which he says is most likely letting me know that the ign. mod. is gone. He is going to check for a short in the system before we go ahead with the mod. Any help will be appreciated.

I assume thats got the code (9) turbo engine, in which case your best bet is to convert it to '86-'87 ignition. You can buy the ignition module, coil, and adapter harness for less than the cost of the '85 module.
Just remember you must get the conversion harness for ignition module connector because it is the same connector but the wires are in different ports on the connector.

Thank you, I was wondering if that was possible. Yes this is the year that this mod. was the only time they made it.

Thank you, I talked to Jay at Caspers and I should have the conversion kit this week. This has saved me $100's of dollars.
