I actually drove the car tonight about 40 miles; after not driving it for 3 mo. And it did'nt break down! "charge system"
After about 20 mi. I punched it " boost went to 17 lb's no knock at all everything perfect untill I tried to increase boost with the BST command" It never changed a thing? The rod is set for the least boost I can get' 17 apparently with HD actuator. The light comes on the BC & solinoid is buzzing & its also new. No problem" Just a waste of $$ for it. $2 fish tank valve better than this POS. I did notice that BLM's are 105 - 117 max & pretty much steady 107 - 110 at 60 mph. Is this normal with JL 93 chip? I dont want to drop FP for fear of knock" I also dont want to wash out the eng with fuel either' It was on a dark back road' so I could'nt tell if it smoked on WOT? Sure did feel good & strong though!

Don't bad mouth the BstC until you know what the problem is.

You did'nt proof read again! The problem is MYBST controler is a POS. What else could be wrong with it? Everything works" Except it dont control boost. What about the BLM's & chip? Normal?

BTW" Steve' I liked the T'shirts! I have been a naughty boy ! I badmouthed the BST.

It's a bit rich.

I would turn down the fp a bit.

Bstc sounds like it is working...Does it not buzz when all the way to the minimum and buzz more when you turn the boost knob up?

How about trying...

1. Stock actuator arm set to 14 psi. with BSTC, see if it raises boost.

2. Tighten the heavy duty arm to 18 psi. then try the BSTC, see if it raises boost.

3. Check the plumbing and Y orifices, okay you can do this first. Remember straight through to the turbo with the hoses.


4. Make sure the solenoid is actually working with air not just buzzing, okay you can do this second.

I did what you said Steve & everything was working fine" So I fiddle farted around with the Harley making the chrome shine for a little while"
And tried it again, It did'nt work at all this time! No buzzing' but the light came on. I cant find the install instructions; So what wire do I need to check? I soldered all the connections when I installed it and put screnk(sp)wrap on them' I dont even want to check all the connections!
Or is there something else that could cause this? Solinoid is new, So is the connector to it; It was also soldered & wrapped.
The wiggle test did'nt work either.
I LOVE MY BUICK!

Mine works from the second dot to all the way up on the knob.

You should be getting 18-23 or so control with that arm.

Check the blue, brown, and white wires from the BSTC.

You did install it white wire to the boost solenoid wire and brown to the ECM wire after cutting the purple/white wire right?

Make sure the TPS trigger is about 1 volt tps to turn on the red led.

I dont remember what wire I connected where" Its been over a year ago? Still no buzz? Somebody give me a light!
It has quit altogether now' Except the light works as its supposted to.
