ok here is whats going on i have 84 gn that i cant get to idle down. i replaced tps set ok .42 did tap test on maf idle stayed the same. i cleaned iac nad reset still idles very high. ireplaced ecm with 86-87 model still idles high but now the iac doesen't cycle like it did before. any hlp would be helpful thanks.

okay, I don't know anything bout the hot air cars, but, what does your iac read in Park with the ac off?

Not that I am aware of. YOu might try turning the iac ccw about half a turn, restarting and see if that helps.

On the ic cars, the iac screw normally has about a thread and a half sticking thru the other side when it is close. Have not idea if that is the same on hot airs, or not.
