I changed my Fuel pump, and now when I started the car,my gas gauge inside the car is going way past the full mark.I add about half a tank of gas when I put it all back. What is wrong with the gauge? Why is it giving me that reading? Also my powermaster, the pump keeps running.eg. runs..........stops..........runs.......stops What's up with that? Is this a simple problem to fix?

I just did my truck sending unit over the weekend and I noticed that when the wire was unplugged the needle pegged past the full mark with the key on (same with the oil sending unit). After I plugged it back in it read normal. Maybe you have a bad connection?
