About how hot does the turbo heat shield get?

I used 1200 degree paint on mine and it has lasted 2-years with no problems. So I would guess that it does not get any hotter than that.

I'm going to get mine powdercoated. I've asked about it and people have either said it's stuck or it's flaked off. I talked to a guy who does powdercoating yesterday and he said that it doesn't flake off. The only reason it flakes off is due to poor prep work. If it doesn't work out I'll just send it to get ceramic coated.
