I am getting ready in the very near future to install some champion cnc heads. What I would like to know is will new arp head bolts do the job or are studs the better way to go. This is a street car that will see quite a bit of drag racing. Also which head gaskets hold up the best?

Thanks

I am a fan of studs. I have them in two different 4.1 motors here. Clamping force is supposed to be higher than bolts can deliver. I figure we need all the clamping force possible considering the lack of head bolt holes most of us have.

For headgasket choices look here:

Good luck! powersix
