i just bought a 87 GN with 30,000 miles on it. What I noticed was that there was a chip already in it cause it red lines every gear. So far I changed my MAF and my O2 sensor. But when i turn it on it shuts right off and its been doing that ever since i changed my MAF. Also isnt air supposed to be blowing out when u remove the top rubber piece of the fuel regulator when the car is on. If so mine isnt doing that. Any suggestions.

AS for the redline:
You can't trust the factory tach. They are notorious for being far from accurate some 15 years later.

If you changed the MAF sensor and it shuts off:

Change back to the old one and see if it still does it. If not, the new MAF sensor is probably defective...not uncommon.

Fuel regulator:

Vacuum in the rubber hose going to the regulator when car is on and running.

An excellent source of info can be found here (GET the manual. It is free to download).

You also will need a scan tool (if you don't have one) such as the TurboLink found at the same site (highly recommended. Turbolinks customer service is A1!)
