Gas tank baffles ?

329 Views 3 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Quick Toy
Looking for pics of the baffle setup in a TR gas tank. Over the winter I want to convert to an intank pump (my external is too noisy for a sleeper
) and I want to get an idea of where I need to place baffles in mine to keep from starving the pump.

Thanks,
Paul

I think you need to figure out your tank a little more as all that really is needed is just to keep the fuel around the pickup. Basically not sloshing to the back or front on accel or decel. I would put the openings to the sides and you will be fine. What about some of the foam like they use in fuel cells? That may be a little easier to get in there than cutting the tank open to fit in channels. You could always just adapt a GN tank in there! I know of one local for $50 if you need it.

Yeah , you have to stop dumping that gas in Canadian Tire parking lots . LOL.
Thanks Intercooler, I'm just taking in all ideas. The TR tank would be much too big to fit in my car, thanks for the offer.

Tim. I was just dumping to reduce ballast
