I posted about my rattle last month and got caught up with school and PCV valves. I had someone listen around the car as I pushed the gas. My downpipe is making the noise. I looked at it and found out that it is touching the header underneath the turbo. I can grab the downpipe at the cat and move it quite a bit. I think I may have a broken motor mount. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks.

Could the motor mount be the reason that the downpipe is touching the header? If I hold the brake and push the gas while in drive and then in reverse, the engine doesn't jump around. I think the mounts will be a good place to start though.

With no tie down strap the engine will move a lot with a broken drivers side mount. Not sure about the passengers side mount.

Your problem actually sounds different...
