Replaced the heater valve that I relocated horizontally last week to run plumbing for the water cooled turbo.

Seems when the vacuum was removed the spring just quite didn't open the valve all the way and didn't allow enough hot water to flow.

Last 1/4" of travel made a big difference in temps. According to the incar 2nd thermocouple on the EGT meter.

Prolly coulda used a helper spring on the arm but I put a cheesy plastic Mexican NAPA one on there I bought by mistake before I knew they were cheesy Mexican ones at NAPA. wink

Boid check for full water valve actuation to get heat in that car. yup

I prefer my parts without cheese. Stop shopping at Taco Bell wink I had same trouble on my Monte with a Autozone heater valve. Then replace it with a AC Delco and never had trouble again. Maybe this is Boids problem dunno

I was going to use the A/C Delco spare I got from Scott off his race car but someone gutted the valve out of the thing. dunno

The vacuum part and the arm work just no valve inside to control the water flow.

Guess that will get you plenty of heat.

I can take the two metal ones and make one good metal one if I ever need one for the GN.

Actually the cheesy plastic one blends in nicely wih the heater hoses and all.
