Got tired of looking at the factory door mouldings for the past 26 years, so I pulled them off. Wet sanded the panels and buffed them out.
I'll do the deck lid and hood when the snow starts to fall.

Nice Job...I pulled my door moldings off as well...or maybe I should say the rest of the way off since they were coming loose. What grids did you use and in what order to get these great results?

After I pulled the mouldings off, I cleaned the doors with Prep Sol. Then started with 1500, then went to 2000, then 2500, then 3000 paper. After that, I buffed with 3M compound, then Meguires Swirl Remover, then Meguires machine Glaze.

Now all I need to do is find the time to do the rest of the car...

Thanks guys. Years ago I had pinstripes painted on the car that matched the colors of the turbo 6 logo. Well, I got tired of them too, and the only way to get rid of them was to sand them off. So taking sandpaper to this car is no big deal anymore...
If you ever get down my way, I'll be happy to help you with yours.
